About Us

Just over a 2 hour’s drive South West of Hosea Kutako International airport, outside of Windhoek, Namibia, nested in pristine  wilderness you will find the headquarters of a great Safari operation; African Twilight Safaris.

A family owned & operated company managed with passion and focused on detail, that offers you a truly exceptional experience with year round game hunting and photo safaris. You will arrive as clients but leave as friends.

African Twilight Safaris has grown to this premium position with many repeat clients, since we provide superior service – leaving you with an unforgettable African Experience.

African Twilight Safaris started operations in 1999 under the name of Guisis Mountain Hunting Safaris with owner, Mare van der Merwe. The company mainly focused on the France hunting market, with also a few clients from Denmark. In June 2003 his brother Jaco van der Merwe, joined the operation whereby the name was changed to African Twilight Safaris. In January 2004 African Twilight Safaris had its first booth at the SCI convention in Reno in the USA. October 2012, the two brothers split up and and Mare is the sole owner of African Twilight Safaris.

Our philosophy from day one was to attend to every single detail, to ensure that we meet your expectations 100%. Our highly experienced professional hunters will ensure unforgettable hunting experiences while the non-hunting partners will enjoy memorable moments in Namibia. With the best hunting areas in different regions of Namibia, you can be sure of the Safari in a lifetime
